Kambo is considered to be safe when administered by a qualified practitioner. However, due to its intense effects, it's not without risks, and proper screening for contraindications is essential. Amenti Wellness does a strict intake to determine viability for you.
Are there any substances to avoid before taking Kambo?
It is advised to avoid sleep aids, slimming aids, and most stimulants before undergoing a Kambo treatment for safety reasons. Blood pressure medicines are recommended to not be taken the morning of.
Is Kambo sustainable and does it harm the frogs?
The primary threat to the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog is habitat destruction. Sustainable harvesting methods are crucial to protect these frogs. Amenti Wellness uses Kambo directly from the personal supply of the Matses tribe, it is quite potent, and therefore less is required for each session. The Matses have a shamanic harvesting ceremony where they sing to the frogs and they willingly come out of hiding in their trees and come to the shamans for the harvesting rituals.
